Infection Preventionist
JOB SUMMARYThe Infection Preventionist is responsible for the prevention of disease transmission to patients, families, providers and staff. The Infection Preventionist acts as a liaison and resource to the organization. Infection Preventionist is educated in the principles of hospital epidemiology and is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of hospital acquired infections. Infection Preventionist’s facilitate practice changes based on outcome data, educate employees about infection prevention and control; and develop health system policies and procedures that reflect current practice, recent scientific evidence and high standards of care. The Infection Preventionist ensures rigorous infection prevention and control standard
