Job Summary: The person hired for this position will participate in research in the Raman lab in the Biochemistry department. They will advance the study of bacteriophages that target various bacterial infectious diseases and evaluate interactions between phages and bacteria in the microbiome. The role requires advanced knowledge of genetic manipulation of bacteriophages and the microbiome, as well as understanding of computational tools to implement and interpret high throughput experiments designed to probe these interactions. An ideal candidate should have experience in all aspects of this role, as well as experience with animal experiments related to evaluating the efficacy of bacteriophage treatments.
