The person employed in this Postdoctoral Research Associate position will conduct research about the interaction between food protein and dietary polyphenols for allergenicity reduction and disease prevention. This candidate is expected to have experience in scientific research and have peer-reviewed scientific publications and can provide technical assistance to graduate and undergraduate students working in the lab as needed.

Requirements:
Ph.D. in food science and technology/nutrition, biochemistry, or other closely related fields
Research experience in food polymers and bioactive compounds
Experience in analyzing bioactive compounds from food materials
Solid knowledge in protein chemistry, carbohydrate chemistry and lipid chemistry
Knowledge in the interactions among dietary components
Knowledge in microbiology
Excellent writing skill for publishing scientific results and assisting PI to write grant proposals
Excellent oral communication skill
Strong ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Preferred:
Excellent skill in HPLC, FTIR and Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, etc.)
Experience in student training and laboratory management
