PGY2 Pharmacy Residency - Infectious Diseases
The UTMB Health PGY2 Infectious Diseases pharmacy residency program is designed to prepare PGY1 pharmacy residency graduates for a career focused in the care of patients with infectious diseases. Residents will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in infectious diseases and clinical microbiology. The PGY2 resident will work closely with the Adult Infectious Diseases Consult Service and other clinical services. The resident will also be a member of the health system’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee and have the opportunity to learn, establish, and perform evidence-based antimicrobial stewardship strategies to optimize antibiotic use throughout the institution.
