Texas Lutheran University invites applications for two full-time positions in Biology to begin August 2025. These positions will be tenure track for applicants with a Ph.D. and non-tenure track for applicants with a Master’s.
Requirements for the position include:
Master’s or Ph.D. in a subfield of Biology
Ability to teach human anatomy and physiology
Ability to teach additional courses selected from the following: lower division courses in pathophysiology, and microbiology, and upper division courses in general physiology, cell biology, genetics, molecular biology, immunology, and neuroscience
Evidence of effective teaching with a commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching
In our considerations, preference will be given to candidates:
Who can build interdisciplinary connections across departments
Willing to mentor undergraduate students during an 8-week summer research program for an additional stipend
Able to support and develop student internships in Biology
With experience advising undergraduates
With experience teaching microbiology, physiology, immunology or cell biology
The Biology Department consists of 7 full-time faculty members and about 70 undergraduates majoring in one of five biology degrees.
