Position Summary:

• Perform scientific research (protein purification, biochemistry, enzymatic assays, tissue culture, cell biology, light and fluorescence microscopy, molecular biology,rodent handling, mosquito dissection) under the PI's guidance.
• Communicates regularly with the P.I.
• Maintains detailed and accurate experimental records.
• Participates and presents in journal clubs, seminars, and conferences.
• Reads current scientific and technical literature relevant to the laboratory's mission.
• Understands and adheres to Rutgers compliance standards as they appear in RBHS' Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Ph.D. in a related field, peer-reviewed publications, excellent training in molecular biology, protein purification and/or biochemistry.
• Should have a strong work-ethic, communication & organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
• Preference will be given to candidates with animal-handling experience.
