Enteric Bacteria Diagnostic & Surveillance Testing Scientist | RESEARCH SCIENTIST I (MICROBIO)
The Research Scientist I (RS I) may perform diagnostic testing for a broad range of foodborne and waterborne bacterial agents. They maintain and test reagents for the detection of bacterial, pathogens of public health significance. The RS I works under supervision, to design, plan, validate, implement, and utilize advanced equipment, complex methods, and sophisticated software to detect, isolate, and identify microbial pathogens in a variety of clinical samples. They provide technical consultation to laboratory staff and other local, state, and federal partners.
