Job DescriptionPosition SummaryOur goal is to determine how nutritional immunity proteins affect microbial growth on and in human skin, which will help to develop targeted antimicrobial therapies that can reduce dermatology's contribution to the development of MDR organisms.Multi-drug resistance (MDR) bacterial infections are a significant public health burden. The frequent treatment of non-life-threatening diseases with antibiotics has heavily contributed to the development of MDR organisms. One example of such a disease is acne vulgaris, where topical and oral antibiotics are frequently used to decrease Cutibacterium acnes on human skin. A better understanding of how to specifically target the microbes associated with acne is needed t
