As the Office and Quality Assurance Associate, you will:
Split time 50/50 between reception and quality assurance for the Nebraska Veterinary Diagnostic Center (NVDC).
Receive samples from clients.
Answer phones to direct requests to appropriate staff.
Work with IT to keep the NVDC website up-to-date.
Be responsible for newsletter and client outreach.
Perform general office duties as assigned.
Track equipment maintenance and calibration, safety, biosafety, biosecurity, and employee training.
Provide back up for the Quality Assurance Manager
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with internal auditing.
Due to the nature of inquiries, experience with medical and/or veterinary terminology is preferred. This position will require minimal travel for up to 2 quality assurance trainings and conferences per year.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent plus four years of related experience. Working knowledge of general office practices and office equipment. Experience with PC-based word processing and the ability to learn different software programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a medical or veterinary office. Quality assurance experience. Experience with laboratory safety protocols and the use of laboratory equipment.
