RESEARCH LAB OPERATIONS MANAGER, Plasma Science and Fusion Center, to manage the operations of a research lab including oversight of budget, personnel, and facilities; maintain and oversee protocols and practices for laboratory safety; serve as primary contact for all laboratory staff including undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral associates; and participate in and/or oversee research activities of the lab, in close collaboration with PI and other lab members.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering or a closely related scientific field; minimum of two years of experience; solid organizational, written and verbal communication, technical/scientific writing , and presentation skills; robust interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a diverse team of graduate students, postdocs, research staff, and the ability to promote collaboration and cooperation among teams; time management, planning, and problem-solving skills; and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. PREFERRED: Master's degree; lab operations experience; and experience having conducted plasma physics and fusion research (experiment, modelling, or simulation) or teaching in physics or engineering field. Salary Range: $61,000 - $67,000, based on related experience and expertise.
