Responsible for all phases of laboratory preparations including preparing and organizing equipment, materials and supplies for the Physical Sciences laboratories. Prepares laboratory materials, supplies, and equipment in advance of need and restocks and supports the science laboratory courses as directed. Tracks inventory and reports low stock well in advance of need. Adheres to all laboratory safety regulations and protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Four years of experience in Physical Science or (15) credit hours of college level course work in science with an emphasis on chemistry and physical science courses.
Associate of Science degree in Physical Sciences preferred.
Previous training in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is desired.

Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. Must be able to lift, bend, and stoop. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.

Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
