The Biology Department at Ursinus College invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach microbiology during the fall semester (August 24, 2026, to December 18, 2026). The position will teach a microbiology lecture (Tuesday/Thursday morning) and two sections of microbiology lab (Thursday afternoon)
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare lectures and laboratory exercises
Submit textbook and course syllabus
Circulate course materials via Canvas learning management system
Prepare and grade assignments, quizzes, exams, and lab reports
Enter information in Colleague Self-Service reporting and grade submission
A minimum of a Master’s degree in the Biological Sciences/ Microbiology/Immunology or Developmental Biology, or Anatomy and Physiology, or a closely related discipline from an accredited College or University is required. Preference will be given to candidates with substantial teaching, laboratory, and curriculum development experiences.
Submit letter of application, CV, and graduate transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable at this point in the application procedure). Recommendations will be required upon interview. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
