The Biology Department at Ursinus College invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach microbiology during the fall semester (August 24, 2026, to December 18, 2026). The position will teach a microbiology lecture (Tuesday/Thursday morning) and two sections of microbiology lab (Thursday afternoon)
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare lectures and laboratory exercises
- Submit textbook and course syllabus
- Circulate course materials via Canvas learning management system
- Prepare and grade assignments, quizzes, exams, and lab reports
- Enter information in Colleague Self-Service reporting and grade submission
A minimum of a Master’s degree in the Biological Sciences/ Microbiology/Immunology or Developmental Biology, or Anatomy and Physiology, or a closely related discipline from an accredited College or University is required. Preference will be given to candidates with substantial teaching, laboratory, and curriculum development experiences.
